Veloz and Yolanda

Frank Veloz and Yolanda Casazza appeared on the cover of the 1939 Time magazine as the Greatest Dancing Couple. Both were Christian Scientists at a time when Christian Science was at its height. Yolanda had a natural, humble quietness when she was off-stage. She normally preferred plain day clothes because she said that pretty clothes were for performance. On stage, Yolanda wore delicate and exquisite dresses which were designed by Frank. She carried a knitted bag with her wherever she went. It contained the Bible and Science and Health. In this way, her faith was always close at hand. Yolanda’s strong faith helped her with the normal demands of life and the heavy demands of being constantly in the limelight. The daily reminder of simple, powerful spiritual principles was a protection from the common pitfalls of fame such as, addiction, depression, mental instability, and an ego gone crazy.

Transforming Sexual Energy

Sex can be very healing. Healthy, balanced, and loving sex is beneficial to the wellness of the individual. Physically, it balances the body. Emotionally, it binds the couple, even for some time after a relationship may have changed form. Spiritually, it can pull the individual out of themselves. Far from the ugliness of selfish or troubled sex, good sex is a reminder of the beauty and blissful surrender of the higher self. In that domain, there is no division or craving. There is unity, expansiveness, and trust. The physical craving for sex in the human is the shadow of craving for total oneness with all that is beautiful. The Dark Night of the Soul

It is, often, in the utter despair of humanness that we become willing to consider deeply spiritual answers. It was through the pathway of Metapsychiatry and the guidance and support of its founder, Dr. Thomas Hora, that I was able to discover a higher spiritual truth. The door and the guide will be different for most people but once the door is open, we are all in the same territory. Spiritual truth irretrievably alters our way of seeing reality and our ability to heal both ourselves and other people. Most spiritual awakening is due to a total disappointment in the human condition to provide any sense of substantial happiness. It is a blessing in disguise. Our greatest need is for the love and assurance that spiritual understanding brings.
