Pittown: Crossing Lines and Drawing Circles

Here is the next part of Pittown (Book 5 of the Waldmeer Series).

Chapter 34: Crossing Lines

When Gabriel travelled from Waldmeer to the Borderfirma Lowlands, twenty years ago, he was ready to give his relationship with Faith-Amira his best. For the first few years, he was somewhat dependent because he didn’t know how to live in the interdimensional world on his own. Gradually, he became accustomed to it. He made friends and found opportunities to follow his own leanings; including the ones that weren’t particularly aligned with Faith’s. After all, he was a different person to her. He always had been. He always would be. Continue reading “Pittown: Crossing Lines and Drawing Circles”

Pittown: Back to the Border

Here is the beginning of Part 3 of Pittown (Book 5 of Waldmeer Series). It’s time to go back to Borderfirma, and also back to some other things.

Chapter 29: Twenty Years

In Waldmeer
“It’s taken me twenty years to get back here,” said Rybert as he walked up and down Cypress Lane. “Twenty f***ing years,” he complained as if it had to be someone’s fault.

A few days ago, Rybert told himself that he was going to finish off what he started. What he had started, he wasn’t quite sure but, twenty years ago, his Aunt Charity told him that she had seen the gathering of two armies in her crystal ball (the sister-ball to Nina’s of the Great Valley in the Borderfirma Mountains). She also told him to go to the battle and that the ball didn’t make mistakes. He was to get there via the lane of Cypress trees which ran along the beachfront in Waldmeer. Faith (Book 4 of Waldmeer) RECAP

Recently, we discovered that Pittown is Book 5 of the Waldmeer Series. Merlyn, Ben, and Tom of Pittown have connected with the towns of Waldmeer and Wurt Wurt Koort. After twenty years, we are reintroduced to Rybert (now 60) of Wurt Wurt Koort Tearooms and Faith-Amira’s son, Malik (now mid-40’s), of the Waldmeer Warriors. We do not know what happened to Faith-Amira (now 70) and Gabriel (now 60) in the inter-dimensional Borderfirma Mountains. In order to remind us of the events of Waldmeer and Borderfirma, here is a recap of Faith (Book 4 of Waldmeer). Pittown – Silent Order: Hidden Entrance

Here is the next part of Pittown – Silent Order.
A big change is coming. We are at a tipping point.

Chapter 25: Elements of Life

It was only the first month of autumn but already the mornings in Store Creek were cold. Ben’s grandmother’s house was not climate-controlled like his city apartment where inside living was so monotone that you couldn’t even tell what the outside temperature was. In Nanna’s House, there were holes everywhere – between the floorboards, around the windows, and, essentially, wherever there was a join of some sort. In fact, Ben thought that there were so many holes in the house that he was practically living outside. Continue reading “Pittown – Silent Order: Hidden Entrance”

Pittown – Silent Order: Lovers, Fairies, and Fools

Here is the next part of Pittown – Silent Order.

Chapter 24: Midsummer’s Dream

Dr Apollo sat on the middle rock in the Botanic Gardens meditation area as if it had been put there especially for him. The Silent Order had its meetings there during the summer. Nearby, a theatre company who performed regular productions of Shakespeare in the Gardens was beginning, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The breeze intermittently carried the actors’ voices into the fern gully where Merlyn and the small group listened attentively to their teacher. Pittown – Silent Order: Store Creek

Here is the next part of Pittown – Silent Order.

Chapter 21: Birthday Ballet

“Wow,” said Ben. “That’s a surprise.”

Merlyn was pleased. It was a surprise that was a year in the making. After last year’s birthday ballet lesson, Ben never did text Merlyn another lesson time as she had requested. A few reminders and some disappointment later, Merlyn pulled herself together with the thought that if she wanted to dance then it was unrealistic, unfair, and burdensome to expect Ben to facilitate her wishes. So, she embarked on a training and education regime which she had consistently stuck to for the whole interim year. Continue reading “Pittown – Silent Order: Store Creek”
