Touched by Love: Light Bearers

I first learned hands-on-healing when I was twenty and belonged to a Catholic Charismatic Community. It was one of my favourite things to do. I never doubted its authenticity because, to me, it seemed obviously real and beneficial.

I remember attending a community conference in a different state. At that stage, I didn’t have any money and was gifted the conference and flight tickets which I was thrilled about. The conference was a large, enthusiastic gathering with many hundreds of young adults fired up with spiritual energy.

Writing: A Spiritual Voice

Writing is a long-term career. It takes a lot of time, money, perseverance, learning, and soul. Making a mark as a writer and having an influence in the world is a process which generally accelerates slowly.

  1. Keep going.
  2. Keep giving.
  3. Remain true.
  4. Trust your instincts.
  5. Go with the flow.
  6. Do your best.
  7. Enjoy it.

If you know that the spiritual voice is in you, and you would like greater access to it as a writer, then Writing: A Spiritual Voice can help you to develop your capacity to hear and heed that voice.

Gratitude Prayer

May we be grateful for everything good.
Good IS everything.
May we remember that God is the only Love.
May our eyes radiate nonconditional benevolence.
May our awareness be of spiritual perfection.
May our freedom be boundless.
May we know the loveliness of love.
May the Divine presence fill our consciousness.
May we feel the magnificent capacity of Life.
May our touch be uplifting.
May our influence be a blessing.
May we feel the immensity of Divinity.
May we know the sublime Love that we are part of.
May it sustain us.
It IS us.

Purnima (Book 7 of Waldmeer): Purnima Passage

Chapter 1: Seeing the Totality

A full moon evening, late in May, in Waldmeer:

Purnima means full moon. Full moons are auspicious occasions for new beginnings, and so we begin; again. Merlyn and Gabriel stood awkwardly at the entrance of Twenty Mile Track. Awkward because they barely knew each other, and this seemed too big an adventure for virtual strangers. Nevertheless, there they were, brought together by some unknown force.

Prana (Book 6 of Waldmeer): Inspection

Chapter 1: Better or Worse

After six months of living in Store Creek with the cold weather, it was good to finally arrive at spring’s doorstep. Merlyn wondered if that was why Ben had decided to visit today. He said it was a rental inspection. But that was just a joke. At least, Merlyn hoped it was a joke. Although it was two years since their separation, they had been married for three years. Nothing needed inspecting.

Pittown (Book 5 of Waldmeer): Moving On

Different and Better

Although there were nicer shops a suburb or two closer to the city, Merlyn made a point of shopping at the Pittown ones. It seemed to her disloyal not to use them. Besides, she found the people interesting. Not infrequently, someone walked past her and turned their head to give her a second look. They looked like they thought they knew her, but then decided that they didn’t. Sometimes, they looked at her quizzically as if they were thinking that she didn’t belong in Pittown.

Touched by Love: The Trouble with Falling in Love

Although highly enjoyable (at certain stages), falling in love is problematic. The first problem is who we can fall in love with. We can fall in love with anyone. A gay person when we are not gay (or maybe we are gay but the wrong gender). A married person who happens to be not married to us (or we could be the married person falling in love with someone other than our partner). An unsuitable person in terms of age, personality, lifestyle, or future goals. Or, worst of all, a person who doesn’t love us in return.

However, even if we fall in love with a gender-appropriate, sexual-orientation-appropriate, availability-appropriate, age-appropriate, life-goals-appropriate person then falling in love is still highly problematic because of the inherent dynamic of the process itself.
