Don’t Give Your Sleep Away

We must outgrow the tendency to look at sleep as a reprieve from the day’s problems, a welcome lapse into unconsciousness. Our body needs the physical rest of sleep, but our consciousness does not. It never sleeps. It works all through the night on something or other. That “something” will determine how we wake up and many other things as well. If you go to sleep unconsciously, it will be the perfect breeding ground for everything negative to percolate, manifest, and grow. The state in which you enter sleep will be magnified during the night.

Tonight, before you drift
into slow theta brainwaves,
commit your sleep to positive purposes
and ask the higher powers to
guide, protect, and heal you.

Love Matters is Now Available!

Love Matters is divided into Physical Matters (the body and its environment), People Matters (whole, holy relationships), and Mystic Matters (healing and spiritual happiness). In the broadest sense, what isn’t spiritual? Everything in life is spiritual because everything impacts our state of being and our effect on others. The health of our body, emotions, mind, and spirit depends on our understanding life as it is energetically designed to be. If you fight life’s essential nature, you are fighting yourself. You will lose. We want to win, for everyone’s sake.

Healing and Seeing

When we see things spiritually, nothing is left to heal, change, restore or mend. All is beautifully perfect and infinite. The human healing that inevitably occurs, one way or another, is the shadow aligning itself correctly with divine Reality. It is the mist lifting with the morning rays of the sun’s warmth and light. It is the fog becoming less dense with Truth’s brilliant clarity. When we understand the loveliness inherent in spiritual existence, our human existence reflects this loveliness. A consciousness imbued with divine Love sends healing to everything within its gaze and radius.

Interview with Donna Goddard about her work and life

From Interview

Question: What are three things that you know about life for sure?
Donna Goddard: God loves me. God, the Divine, the Divine energy loves me. I know that for sure. The next thing is that God loves you. God loves you. The third thing is that life is precious. Don’t waste it. Be with people you want to be with and do things you want to do. We’re only here for a short time. Make the most of it, friends.

Meditation for Healing

When it comes to injuries, people must do whatever is physically and practically appropriate for them. However, in this meditation, we are examining the mental, emotional, and spiritual domains as they are extremely powerful in healing. The physical is a representation and demonstration of the non-physical domains. Don’t insist on healing. The body heals when it has the opportunity and right spirit to do so. Allow, don’t demand. All we need is the intention to elevate our frequency.

Not As It Seems

If we can’t see people clearly, we can end up trusting people and situations that are not in our best interest and dismissing people and situations that would make our life better and happier. It is not just in regards to little things, but if we understand the far-reaching and powerful effect of thought, we realise that it can even be a life-and-death matter. Thought is very powerful, and the underlying intention is everything.

What is This For?

To get to the underlying intention of anything, it helps to ask ourselves, What is this for? We can ask it about everything. Eventually, it is not necessary to ask it so often as experience and wisdom lead the way with little effort. Once asked, we must listen for the answer. Don’t listen to the ego’s answer. Its answer will usually be the opposite of the truth. Ask with an open mind. If we discover that we are deceiving ourselves about some matter or that we have been deceived by someone else (intentionally or not), then that is a good discovery. Once we know what a particular venture or relationship is based on, we will also know its outcome. To those inexperienced in such thought processes, this may seem like magic or foolishness. It is not magic. It is simply understanding the human mind. And it is not foolish. Those who do not understand their own minds can never be fulfilled or happy.

Peaceful Centre

A balanced, inner calmness radiates from a peaceful centre. It neither craves others’ approval nor rejects others’ presence. It neither pulls towards nor pushes away. It has a reverent attitude towards life and all its inhabitants. It has compassion for the inevitable weaknesses of the human condition. It has nothing to gain from others’ approval. It is not self-seeking. It is not needy, grabbing or manipulative. It embodies gracious respect for everything beautiful including other human souls. It has a lively freedom, a happy composure, a quick and engaging wit, and an intelligent, interested, and interesting mental attitude.

Life is Immortal

We are here to evolve. All life forms serve one ultimate purpose—to align themselves with the good, the beautiful, and the infinite. As human souls, this takes a tremendous amount of growth; much more than one short time on Earth can give. We gradually become more aligned to the higher life-force over a long period of soul evolution. What may seem a tragedy by the standard of one short lifetime is merely a page in an ongoing story which has a higher purpose and plot far beyond the momentary appearance. We can trust the Divine nature of the story with all its twists and turns.

The Dark Night of the Soul

It is often in the utter despair of humanness that we become willing to consider deeply spiritual answers. The door and the guide will be different for people, but once the door is open, we are all in the same territory. Spiritual truth irretrievably alters our way of seeing reality and our ability to heal both ourselves and other people. Most spiritual awakening is due to a total disappointment in the human condition to provide any sense of substantial happiness. It is a blessing in disguise. Our greatest need is for the love and assurance that spiritual understanding brings. If it were not for the common experience of human lovelessness and limitation, we would not be driven to seek a higher love.
